Acts of Kindness & Service

Kindness Matters

Acts of kindness and service create big waves.

When kids help others, the world gets brighter.

It all starts with one act.

Take the Challenge!

Our kids have a challenge for you: pick one act of kindness or service each week—or even every day! It’s easy to make a difference with something as simple as a smile, a note, or a compliment. Need inspiration? Check out the ideas below to get started! Feeling extra proud of your act? Snap a photo or video and share your story with us—we might feature it! Tag us @kidswhogivenonprofit or email us your story. We can't wait to hear your stories!

Ideas:

• Give someone a genuine compliment.

• Hold the door open for others.

• Pick up litter.

• Help someone with homework or chores.

• Invite someone new to play or sit with you.

• Share toys, games, or books.

• Make a friendship card or drawing for a classmate.

• Donate gently used clothes, toys, or books.

• Collect food for a local food pantry.

• Make “cheer kits” (like drawings, cards, or small treats) for a hospital or senior center.

• Leave a kind note for someone.

•  Make a handmade gift for someone just because.

•  Start a kindness jar—drop in little notes with good deeds you do each day.

•  Create a “thank you” poster for your local mail carrier, firefighters, or healthcare workers.
